So - what levy rating do you want? Cat 5 - does it exist? How big of Cat 5 coverage - land size - do you want? What percentage of the cost should La pay for?

Bob

I think a lot of the DC hostility is based in the belief that NO would be better off to just rebuild on the high ground, and not go for the multi-billion dollar wetlands that would let it rebuild as it was.

I suspect, that when all is said and done, this is what you are going to end up with.

c2...what did you mean here? : " Perhaps if we withheld the litle tax revenue we contribute, things would be better."

I also wonder c2, exactly how you would be handling the situation IF the same situation developed in the Pacific NW as it did on the Gulf Coast....

How and what would you suggest doing if the entire West Coast of the US, CA, OR, WA, and even AK got hit by an earthquake, and then a massive tsunami....?

What would you expect the Feds to be doing, and what would you expect to be doing if you were for instance, the Gov of WA? Would you expect the Feds to rebuild the entire coast line of the state, and all the ports and protected wetlands? For starters? How quickly would you start the projects?

BTW, speaking of things, has there been a report done yet as to exactly who was responsible for the levee problems in LA? Who were the contractors that were involved, especially in building the levees that broke????

I haven't seen a single report of that, and heaven's....It's been 3 months now....

Is that the Fed's fault, and by default, Bush's fault as well?
