Liar. McNamara said met with the NV generals after the war and they said they would have all fought to the last man because they had no choice. It was their country, not ours. And they saw us as imperialist invaders and occupiers. Even many South Vietmamese felt this way. As with Iraq now the US were only supported by a small minority of citizens. So the very country we were claiming to be "freeing" hated us and wanted us out. Basically we had no business being there in any numbers in the first place. The Domino Theory was a big hoax. And we were never attacked at the Tonk Gulf. It was a big fat lie. Same as Bush and his uranium from Niger.
