Using this overlay, 2 ESH06 contracts will be secured in a minimal signal and 3 ESH06 contracts in a maximum signal, long and short. This overlay, in its simplist form, is nearly always in the market. Last signal was long 2 contracts, December 20, 15:37 Eastern @ 1266.50.

Realtime new signal: Short (2) 1275.75

Net +9.25 x 2

Another observation is a somewhat regular timeliness issue occurring during the last 45 minutes of regular hours trading. I will sometimes take a "slow" signal in that period if time can be devoted to monitoring the position, if made. It is insure why this regular timeliness issue develops.

I may trade a little today if a signal occurs while I am watching. A few errands need be accomplished before the boys begin arriving late this afternoon. Their only visit to this house was just after it being built 5 years ago during a Thanksgiving trip to Ft Myers.

Look at APNS.

I haven't been by here in a long time but just saw your posts...put out the kid's toys and killing time! I've not traded much lately but have made progress on my own charts. Have settled into watching 2000, 400 and 100 tick charts. A fast stochastic on 2000 ticks nicely shows major intraday hi/low events and corresponding momentum reversals. I actually trade signals on the 400, and use the 100 to fine tune entries/exits. These have a stochastic and 2 MACD's on them. The MACD's are overlayed and used to "coordinate" the charts, i.e. there is a 3/20 MACD on the 2000 tick chart that becomes a 15/200 MACD on the 400 tick. The 3/20 MACD on the 400 tick becomes a 15/200 MACD on the 100 tick. I tried doing this with Stochastic for a long time, i.e. representing a 3/9 stochastic from the 2000 tick chart with something like a 15/45 stochastic on the 400 tick chart, but I could never get the stochastic to transfer exactly and the lack of 100% coordination between charts wasn't acceptable. MA's have the advantage that they duplicate exactly between charts if you simply adjust the values to reflect the proportionate difference between the chart "lengths". The rest is just reading the signals. I'm finishing up some business that should allow me to trade much more after this month and am looking forward to it. Looks like you've been doing well.

PS. I use a moving average I bought from Jurik research to do a lot of smoothing in everything I do. It responds very fast and works well for MA's < 15 or 20. Above that I use exponentials. Jurik sells several other indicators but the MA is the one I've found most useful. It really makes indicators more readable. For example, I'll calculate the stochastic and then use the Jurik MA to smooth it before calculating the trigger line. There's very good information at his website if you're interested in researching it.
