Geoff, I didn't know that the old Indian schools were still in operation in the 60's, but they were doomed to be integrated some time. I didn't know that Dartmouth was an Indian school, but had heard of Carlyle, probably because that was where Jim Thorpe went to school. The original goals of those schools, was to strip the heritage of the Indians away, and replace it with the white man's ways. That didn't work.

Today, with the mix in all schools, and colleges, the Indians just go where ever they want, or can, go. If Islamics, Asian Indians, Bosnians, Russians, Pakistan, and just about any body from anywhere can go to the American colleges, they damned well better let the American Indians go there.
