I'm not surprised by this paragraph. Your position is at bottom so different from my own it's not possible to converse. I could make several long lists of moral things legitimate governments do for their citizenry, that are paid for by taxes, none of which would appear moral to you--safety nets, medical insurance, less expensive housing, public education.

None of those are done well now because of the political strategy to starve government so it cannot do precisely these things well. But not doing them well is not an argument that the doing is not moral.

I suspect we should talk about other things, perhaps there is one or two things we can agree about. But on this one, I'm not learning, you're not learning, we're at loggerheads.
