Kerry's statement was absolutely true, and exposes the fact that after 2.5 years the inept Bushies running the show (not the troops, but the policy-makers on top) in Iraq still don't even have basic training for Iraq troops to be patrolling and searching and entering their own neighborhoods' homes.

Instead, US troops are forced to (ordered to, so not their fault) do this dirty work, which terrorizes (yes it does) average Iraqis and makes enemies out of them. I'm sure it also freaks out our troops and has led to many casualties.

This kind of policy is stupid and born out of complete callous incompetence. We saw it in Vietnam too where US troops were sent to seach villlages, terrorizing (yes they did, though they didn't want to) villagers and sometimes, even often, burning the villages down. This was one of the main reasons we lost that war, because the average Vietbamese came to fear and hate us much more than they did communists.

This isn't about the troops it's about the policy-makers up top. Why oh why does Rumsfeld still have his job after 2.5 years of being wrong? Ditto for Cheney in fact.

IOnstead of answerting that questions, Bushies just lie, twist and smear Kerry's clear message, accusing him in effect of being a "traitor". Typical phony Bushie smear.
