Fillmore > BTW I find it surprising that you argue that 9/11 was basically a Zionist plot.

Why, who else could have done it? It was certainly not crazy Muslims in a cave. Indeed, if one accepts that the neocons were responsible, as I do, then it stands to reason that it was a Zionist plot.

> Correct me if I am wrong but have you not argued for many years that the idea that CBs were conspiring to suppress gold was an absurd conspiracy theory?

No, I haven't argued that because I simply don't know the facts? Yes, I've read the GATA stuff and I even used to be in direct contact with Bill Murphy with whom I debated frequently, even in private, but I was never entirely convinced. But I would certainly agree/argue that the gold price was manipulated as a device to show that inflation was under control which it, quite clearly, was not.

> Frankly I find that a much more credible idea that wrings truer every day.

It may be true, I don't know? But I am now arguing that the dramatic price rises that have occurred in the gold price recently were due to the Commercial shorts who have been cornered and have had to buy back their positions. And if, and only then, these shorts are in fact the CBs and the ones that GATA refers to then I would be in agreement with Bill Murphy & Co.

Fillmore > but the more the more things escalate the sooner the backlash

That's what I feel about the gold price, BTW.
