It would be interesting to me if we had some poor people on these threads.. It might lend some validity to what we all discuss..At least another point of view. I concur with your stand,JohnM.. on government and its inherent responsibilities. I am willing to pay taxes for services received.. However, I resent that the AMT has been left to stand. It hurts me very much as a retiree I count on dividends from stock.. I get taxed on what they do to my retirement income..

It would be interesting to have all wealthy people such as Bill Gates use their money for the good of others.. His recent fight is against Malaria..

On the other hand, Trump just paid $450.000 for a car. That is his right, I understand and I like the man. However, priorities of some people are like our government, spent on frivolous things... while here in Sarasota we have homeless living in their cars by the lot in Walmart. But that is another story...

This world is full of inequities...

I gather you think it's just fine that this money paid to the rich in the form of tax break

Once again no money is paid to the rich in the form of tax breaks.

If I take $10 from you every day, and than I decide to only take $9, I'm not paying you a dollar a day. I am rather taking $9.
