IF we are to follow the arguments of those requesting clemency, we need follow their argument. They say his children's book and advise that kids avoid gangs and not "be like him" are very positive.

I believe Tookie's message is much more powerful if his life is sacrificed. He should want the children to know that sometimes there is just no way out, but the way you came in.

To demonstrate just how bad he messed up his life, forfeit of that life makes the message more clear. He should be killed so the message is heard.

What about Tookie?

I don't have much to say about state executions. If it saved a loads of money, they could be worth while but my understanding is it costs the American tax payer to have an execution? There is also the fact that the law is not 100% accurate. Maybe 90%, but that 10% is a big load to carry on your conscience.

I am fairly sure "Tookie" is guilty though. Is it better for the state to have him alive or dead? a fair question. He seems to be anti the gangs now. Maybe we are better off with him alive.

You repubs brandish us lefties with squeemy attitudes too easily. We got Stalin on our side you know.
