It isn't a question of pro-death or anti-death. We are all going to die as a simple matter of fact. Pro or against is denial.

It is a question of human justice. Can we apply justice in every situation posed to us by another human being. Justice implies that no one is wronged without the system being able to make the out come fair and balanced. This brings about a resolution that permits all parties to reconcile their differences in a fair and equitable manner.

In fact, we can not apply justice to every situation because our system is limited. There is no way a cerial child rapist/murderer can ever re-enter society, having resolved all issues with there victims and society at large. There is no way I can feel like a friend, neighbor, and brother to such a person or feel that my little girl is safe with someone like that in the neighborhood.

We found with some people like the serial murderer Ted Bundy that long term incarceration was not a just resolution. He had a sex change, an active sex life, and social involvement, recreation, and enjoyed a drug habit for several years while in prison. Would you call that a dispensing of justice.

You don't get even, or get an eye for an eye, or get vengence, by putting such a person to death. You merely resolve the situation by admitting that the justice system has no way to deal with such a person either by treating them a particular way or by letting them alone.
