China's advisor Yu Yongding was commenting that the Fed should continue to raise the fed funds rate. The higher interest rates are the greater carrying costs are for metals.

More signicantly I think this could be the first time that you've had the Chinese giving the US advice on it's fiscal policy.

It was reasonably obvious that there would be some follow through technical selling today in the metals after the reversal day patterns that showed up yesterday in the metals.
