It would seem that background and experience alone might limit Guiliani's chances in overtaking McCain if such a race took place. A few years** as Mayor and as a US Attorney anti mob guy does not a President make.

Another question is whether the gigantic egos of each would be anywhere near compatible if they were on the ticket as a team. It is well known that McCain can be short tempered.

Of those two, I would probably choose McCain. I would like to see a debate between him, Kucinich, Edwards and Kerry and clinton.

** However, it did not seem to matter in the case of Mrs. clinton. She was elected with "zero" office experience and can't even bake cookies
