There used to be stories about banana boats misjudging the tide and getting stuck in the gel... I don't think I want to go there. I understand the reaction to abandon NO........that was my first instinct. Its when you sit done and realize what that means........the cost involved to replace all that NO is as well as the importance of the city to the country's economic well being.......you begin to realize what a mistake that would be. Then when you think of the NO that is the unique Mardis Gras/French Quarter city, then you know that that would be a bigger loss for the country. In this day of McDonalds and shopping malls, we need places like NO to show us how we can be unique. ted
