securely in custody

You got to admit, poisoning someone strapped down to a bed has got to be one of the sickest acts ever perpetrated. Probably the only sicker thing is the cheerleaders.

If Tookie wants sympathy, it's between "sex" and "syphilis" in the dictionary.

Again, I have no sympathy for Tookie. I just don't believe that the state should be in the business of killing incarcerated individuals.

Muslim states stoning or beheading people for adultery is barbaric. Singapore hanging that Australian guy last week for drug possession is barbaric. Electrocuting, gassing or injecting lethal chemicals into prisoners in this country, for whatever reason, is barbaric. There's too much goddam killing in the world. Leave killing prisoners to the barbaric states. We should be beyond that...

"HOW securely in custody?"

None of us know the future. Saddam released all the prisoners from Abu Graib before he went into hiding. This type of thing has happened in other regions of the world in the past and something similar could happen here in the future. There is also always the possibility that internal politics for lifers in the US prisons could change do to over crowding, lack of resources, politics, etc.

Nothing in this life is totally secure, any suggestion of security is an illusion.
