I wonder if any talking heads every really understand human nature. Even if they do. It is unlikely they have any clue on how to engineer any solutions. Or in this case engineer a change in human nature, social nature and political nature. To me the rebuilding of the military from scratch created an opportunity for brothers in arms from all area of Iraq to get to know one another and learn that each is just a human being with similar desires and goals. From that the band of brothers experience and trust can come the seeds of cooperation in other social and political arena throughout Iraq. There are those who are trying to engineer hate and distrust and creating their own power from FUD. Who will win is not a given. America, can only hope and work to engineer the democratic path. Is the glass half empty or half full?
