aj, it really depends on what model you get...

My oldman has a older Street Pilot and loves it, they use it on their motorhome virtually all the time. It was around $400 I think.

OT** Yeah, its not cheap. The one I saw that impressed me was something called the Street Pilot which looked like a superb navigator to me. The higher end model also had satellite radio and an MP3 player. But yes there were additional costs as you say. And that top-end unit was like $1000.

That's why I was even more surprised that they were selling so well.
