I respect your opinion on it. To me, this is the only objection to capital punishment that holds water. Even though I disagree with it.

Murder is murder

I think that "killing is killing" would be a better choice of words. To say that an agent of the state executes someone who has committed murder is just another way of saying that a killer kills a killer...
