Bad answer Mish. No way can you compare NASDAQ 1999 to reality and discounting of the future in large cap financial stocks on the listed exchanges. The financial institutions stock prices staying near all time highs with a flat yield curve tells us the housing bust and the overextended consumer capitulating that we all expect soon won't be the end of the world and will be offset by some other positives in the economy at least in the near term.
