Overstock is trading at 1x sales, Google at 23x sales. Last quarter Google's sales increased 96%, Overstock's 63%.

Is Overstock a better buy than Google?

Based on that alone, sure.

What's Overstock's operating margin on those sales, and what's GOOG's operating margin on its trailing sales is what I would like to know.

But we can definitely say that Overstock is cheap compares to Google (valuation was the subject of this conversation).
