One dead in carbon monoxide leak in Chisholm

Associated Press

CHISHOLM, Minn. - Authorities have identified the man killed by a carbon monoxide leak at a home in Chisholm (CHIS'-uhm) that also hospitalized three people.

Police say 21-year-old John Corradi of Chisholm was killed. The lead is still under investigation.

Authorities received a 9-1-1 call from the home on the Iron Range yesterday.

Chisholm Volunteer Fire Department Chief Bob Brown says there was a high level of carbon monoxide when crews entered the home.

Brown says authorities are looking at an appliance that wasn't properly maintained as a potential source of the leak.

A 19-year-old man remains hospitalized at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. Two 20-year-old men were treated at a local hospital and released.
