Oh, and in the wiggles, it's hard to continue to count this as part of the bigger correction.

Wish I could feel as confident of that, but I don't. Must be because I am wrong, I mean long.

<< I think a change in language is viewed as a step closer to the end, regardless of the reality. I don't think anyont expects the end to come before the new boss is in place, but this, somehow, implies a shift. And that's what folks are waiting for.>>

And that pretty much spells out the INITIAL reaction...no question about it.....But sometimes market participants have second......more realistic.....thoughts, and react with some delay....

I see that bonds are closing with miniscule changes,...as if nothing of any substance transpired today........vbg

Don't know which way she'll take it, of course, but certainly interesting to watch.......as we wait for Shack's DOW wedge to amount to something more than a one-day wonder...gg

Hi Freep,

I agree.
I'm thinking removing the "accomodative" label signals the region of neutrality.

That removes the "indecision" of more long term minor increases (which all must admit we've been in for a long time).

The removal of indecision, or the claim that we are near neutral is a huge positive.

Could be a strong day tomorrow-but then it is option expiration.

Have to think the spin will be a positive over the near term.

If not, this correction is getting into the region of serious soon.

That being said a lot of indexes had nice pops and reversals this afternoon.

Bob
