<<.....some sort of C of B up...... a final leg down coming...... instead of a 2 down... a 1 (and maybe a 2) of C?..>>.............?????

The numbers and letters you guys are throwing around today have me reeling.......vbg........Looking at the daily DOW (the curious index) and the SPX, all I see is a correction in progress.....and continuing...

Have to go look at IBM now, and will get back to you, so wait up for me...g

IBM.....OK....some charts......but advise you not view until after dinner....or breakfast tomorrow...well digested.

First, chart I put up about a month ago. The glaring mistake then was to accept something as a triangle breakout which was not validated by the necessary HIGHER volume...

And then, today's chart.....distinguished by its failures....g

Thinking more about this, if Shack's diagonal on INDU is real, and your alternative count places it as 'a' of C, then we have a diagonal as an 'a' wave:

Probably pretty rare, and the low odds play. And from a more traditional TA perspective, SPX has now made three attempts on the 1270 area. It is usually the third test that breaks.

Odds appear to favor up, here, rather than hard down, IMHO. But I'm keeping it light until we see the November highs eclipsed.
