I appreciate the fact you continue to hang in on this point. But we appear to keep talking past one another.

The links in the post to which I'm replying, best I can tell, all make the rather well known point that Leo Strauss (a) had an elitist notion of government and (b) assumed deception was an acceptable form of governance.

Okay, but I don't see anything that argues that Straussians favored a small government and were bent on deceiving us about that.
