My simple point is that those who have tried to establish that your opinion has a basis in fact have used faulty methodology. Most of the surveys I have seen use the methodology I have described. There are some, like the article that Goldworldnet posted, that use different methodology that is also flawed.

It's not a given, IMO. It's an unproven hypothesis.
