I have little trouble believing this since even college educated individuals here on SI can't get simple concepts like average and median! You can say that again! I had an asian girl I used to date, she went off to harvard and got her an education - her momma cooks me some good general tso's at their chinese restaurant. Momma cries a lot - says why none of my kids give me grand kids shades - why they all so selfish. I say momma son - you teach them all since little babies to shove thier head in that school book - teach them to always think about number 1 and making the grade and advancing thier career and go to big college - and now they all in new york doing just that - and they dont give a flip about you and your old age and giving you grand kids - silly momma son. She say she just do what she think was right, make them math machines, SAT taking machines, give them good education, make them all get lawyer and doctor degrees - she forgot to teach them though the one thing she gonna need most when she gets older - not a lawyer or doctor kid that made 1600 sat score and 7 figure paycheck in new york - but kid that love thier momma and love family and want to be around her - she will never admit to me Grace that she messed up - but when i see her cry that her kids never call her or see her and will never give her grandkids - she has many regrets. So much booksmarts, so little anything else - how did she buy into this meme? How do so many other asian families continue to make her mistake?
