08:15 BRCM Broadcom: Raising Numbers On Continuing Product Ramps - Harris Nesbitt (49.50 )

Harris Nesbitt is raising its numbers for 1Q06 and 2006 owing to strength from several fronts that leads the firm to believe that Broadcom is likely to see muted seasonality in 1Q06. The firm is raising its 1Q06 numbers from a prior negative 5% q-q decline to a flat q-q quarter and raising its target to $60 vs. $55. The firms numerous checks, including follow-ups from their recent trip to Asia lead the firm to believe that Broadcom is likely going to see upside from the following areas -- mobile video processors, very early shipments of its DTV solution, continuing strength in Bluetooth, extending from handsets to PCs, and its NASoC chips. These areas will likely allow Broadcom to buck overall seasonality to a certain extent, despite lower q-q sales in other categories.
