Bottom line to me is we need to cut some fat, can't afford the war and our federal government is broke. The wealth accumulated by the top 1% is incredible and the disparity between haves and have nots has never greater. Back out some of the favorable tax breaks for real estate (perhaps go back to once in a lifetime 55+ exclusion on sale of a homestead) and a lot can be done to get things back close to the Gingrich/Clinton balanced budget years without disrupting the real economy. Personally I despise what both parties have become..
