I am incredulous at the amount of effort that goes into protecting bad guys like Tookie Williams, and the amount of energy people put into justifying them.

I'm all for forgiveness and redemption, but there are too many bad guys who are simply unfit to exist in society at any level, prison or whatever.

Last night on Law and Order there was an episode about gun running. College kids buying dozens of guns in Georgia and selling them for a 500% profit in NYCand intermediaries who were criminal defense attorneys. The bad guys got nailed, but at the end an undercover agent who figured in the trial had another encounter and killed two or three very bad guys. Fred Thompson says something like "Good, now we don't have to deal with them."

<<Dirty Harry >>

The original was on the other day and I taped it. The early scene where Harry is eating a hotdog and shooting bank robbers and points the gun at the crippled robber and gives the speech, the wounded guy says "I got's to know" and Harry pulls the trigger and gets a click. He should have splattered the guy's head all over the sidewalk. 4 Rounds fired out of a 6 shooter prior to that.

I have a prototype of the Dirty Harry gun. No model number and no serial number.
