She was a child in the car with Jayne Mansfield when Mansfield was killed. Her father was a body builder, Mickey Hargitay.

I've never seen her in any role but as Olivia Benson, but I grew to like her a lot in that role. She plays it very intensely, which at first put me off. In the few interviews I've seen she seems very relaxed.
