Sony cameras found defective cctv.com 12-14-2005 12:08 Spotchecks on six types of Sony's digital cameras have found defects in areas such as image quality and automatic exposure. As a result they have recently been taken off the shelves in east China's Zhejiang province. The Zhejiang provincial industrial and commercial bureau made the announcement, saying that the bureau has begun a formal investigation into the defective Sony cameras. A total of 30 batches of products were involved in the six reported types of Sony cameras, namely the Sony DSC-H1, DSC-P200, DSC-W5, and DSC-s90. The bureau said the Sony DSC-H1 and DSC L1, produced in Sony's Shanghai factory, were found to have problems in the image balance, white balance, automatic exposure and LCD brightness controls.
