Re: CoE records... It's just that they may not reflect reality. How could that be?

Wouldn't the records tell what contractor did what work, and when the work was done, and how much the charge was for the work done?

You noted the other day that there was a possibility of something was wrong, if the steel beams (or whatever it was) were several feet short of what they should have been....Wouldn't there be a record someplace there in the archives of what SHOULD have been done, and how much it cost?

Then, all we as taxpayers would have to know is: how long were the pieces, and what should they have been...If there is a difference, then we need to know why....

Your letter to the Editor the other night reflects the outside opinion, IMO. And that is, was there graft in NO? (Is that an oxymoron?) Is that why the levees didn't hold?

Another thing I am wondering....What is the holdup on getting all the mobil homes that were ordered into NO....I see various reports, and various numbers. What entity is supposed to pay for what? And why are 40,000+ people still in hotels? The military puts up housing relatively quickly. Are they involved? If not, why not? Surely after all the money that has been sent to the damaged areas there should be something to show for it by now....

How does LA compare to the other states as far as damage repaired by now?

Have they finally gotten all the areas pumped out yet? Why has it taken so long?

Or is our perception of events there wrong...? Are things better or worse than we think?
