After the election, the stalls and "corners to turn" will be gone for the chimp for the next four years. That's when the NEXT election happens. Unless they invent some new corners!

What's likely to happen in this election, which is for regional candidates, is that the Kurds will elect their guys, the Shiia will elect their guys, and the Sunnis will elect their guys. National leaders will also be elected, but whether they are paid any attention to is another question. I heard an Australian reporter today say that he had talked to a Sunni insurgent that said all his boys were going to vote, then go right back to blowing up Americans!

The Shiia and the Kurds are quite likely to go their own way with all the oil, leaving the Sunni right where they are NOW, only with the shit more clearly defined on their end of the stick. If anyone thinks this is likely to reduce the violence and the insurgency, they're living in the same fantasyland the chimp dwells in.
