shorts - I have tried that duplicate nick and it works for a little while till their search and destroy program finds it and then compounds the problem! I just wait patiently (!) until they get around to the remedy - a couple of weeks - they fix it, email me an apology and say it's their servers at fault, they are working on it and so it goes. I think they think - their servers, that is - that any message with an URL in it is suspect - spammers. So I resolve, if I ever get back on RB, to leave out the URLS and see if that works. Mustn't irritate those servers!!!
