but what about interest and dividends? Obviously for savers and actual investors, interest income is increasing, but most of that benefit goes to foreigners.

So is this analyst claiming that the worst debtors, will be able to offset their new liabilities, by drawing on increasing interest income? On what, their bloated savings accounts?

That would be a stretch. The nonsense that passes for analysis these days is mindboggling, and just gets worse and worse.

This miniboom was powered initially by three factors. Increase in real average hourly wages in 2001-02, steep yield curve 2002-03 and Bush tax cuts. Once you lose the juice from all three the economy rolls over.
