Derek, it could work that way and probably does in some cases. But, like I said, I've known a whole lot of environmentalists. You can't spend fifteen years at and about EPA without having a pretty good feel for them. There are certainly some primary collectivists among the environmentalists I've known. Some of them are out there protesting globalism and the like. But the vast majority of environmentalists are regular people who are distrustful that industry will run clean without strong government oversight and enforcement. At the most you could call them hostile to industry. But that's as far as it goes. As a group they are as earnest and sincere as can be.
