Real wages were up a little in 2001 and 2002 and have been flat to down since according to BLS. I couldn't pull the graph for some reason. Sure this recovery for white collar professionals has been dismal and appears to be getting worse. I bet the BLS stats probably underestimate by a wide margin the incomes in bubble markets made off the books in the real estate related trades of late which would explain in part why the overall economy has been humming the past few years.
