There are different kinds of drugs they can use together now that are more effective at controling pain better then morphine. There are some people who, no matter what you give them, it never helps ease the pain at all but for the most part, there are combos dr's can prescribe that do work. The biggest problem is getting more dr's to prescribe them and then there's the insurance companies saying the medications are duplicate therapy. Most insurance companies are slow to come around when medicine makes break throughs when it comes to drug therapy.
