WASHINGTON (Dow Jones)--Cardinal Health Inc. (CAH) said Tuesday that it entered into an unsecured, five-year credit agreement of up to $1 billion to use for general corporate purposes, according to its filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The agreement with a group of lenders including Wachovia Bank replaces two $ 750 million revolving credit agreements, the company said.

Cardinal Health, Dublin, Ohio, is a health-care products and services supplier.
