When everything is a commodity, even news, the "truth" and ideals about liberty, and protecting our freedoms, don't really matter that much. After all, our freedom is just another commodity- and if it's adulterated in the search for bigger profits, who really cares? Not the American people.

It's clear that his editor, someone by the name of Harris, has simply given up the ethical obligations of good journalism in favor of some notion that it's all about "balance" and making money.

Would you explain that? I haven't been following the issue closely, but that wasn't my understanding of what it was about.
