Most insurgents will stop attacking once the occupying forces (us) is gone. The reason they are rebelling was mainly our presence in the first place. Ditto for the Al Qaida wannabes. Streaming in for one reason, to take a shot at US troops.

Iraq will remain a testy place for a long time, but it was our presence and Bush's "bring it on!" challenge which created the insurgency to begin with. Bush's whole arrogant attitude really cost us, transforming us from liberators into occupiers in the minds of most Iraqis.

Why Bush-Cheney didn't anticipate and plan for this is beyond any of us. What total out to lunch mis-leadership. And don't say Kerry and others didn't warn them.

I remember in 2000 when Bush-Cheney were saying "we're the grown ups with experience, let us handle the military". Yeah right. Clinton took down Milosovic without a single US casualty. Bush-Cheney promised the same thing about energy and gas prices. They promised in 2000 to bring them down, using their experience in these matters.

Bottomline, never believe a Bushie. Even when they tell the truth, there's a selfish scheme attached to it.
