OK. I understand the context was a conversation about Christians, but " There are virtually no people on the political left who approach politics as a religious act. " seemed ad little more general. I suppose I should have read it (given the context) as " There are virtually no Christians on the political left in the US who approach politics as a religious act. I still think you understate the amount but your statement does make sense if that is what you meant to say. Tim
