What makes little sense is the argument that if we spend more on the military than our enemies that we are spending too much. Okay. Then let me simplify it. We are spending too much. I understand there is a whole industry that has a vested interest in maintaining high levels of defense spending, but that doesn't make it acceptable. In fact, with the rate of poverty in this country and our infrastructure needs, its hard to justify the high rate of spending on defense. ted
