I don't know if you guys know any seniors trying to figure out the chimp Medicare Drug Benefit, but I do. They haven't figured out how to use it yet without getting screwed, but have figured out that it's a way to channel public money to drug companies! Here in Utah, there are 18 companies offering three or four plans each. They all cost different amounts and have different coverages and benefits. One of the seniors I know, my next door neighbor, HAS to choose a plan because his former employer is cancelling his prescription coverage because OF the plan! So far, every way he calculates it, it will cost more than he can really afford. The chimp will tell you the plan is voluntary, but he doesn't tell you that each MONTH you don't choose a plan, the cost goes up 1%!

"And you wonder why there is speculation that Bush wants to kill FEMA." Not much to speculate about. He was pretty open about his belief that FEMA was just another government entitlement program that needed to be eliminated. Then you believe that Tim and others are feigning their surprise when that issue is brought up? That they know damn well that that's the goal.......because I grow tired of these conversations where you have to provide incredible detail as support for what's so blatantly obvious before they will believe you.
