Yes they are and they're affraid their patients will get addicted to the pain killers as well. Problem with most dr's is they widely prescribe what the drug reps are pushing. There's more out there then what the general docs have walking through their doors on any given afternoon. They've become so busy with paper work, triple scheduling patients so they can still make what they did before HMO's and their contracts, they don't have the time to spend researching what's out there. Don't ask the drug reps either because if it's not what they're pushing, they don't want the docs to know.
