Just because you got that warning pop up window does not mean your machine suddenly got infected. These pop ups are just sleazy attempts to get you to go to their web site to REALLY infect you or to try and sell you something.

I get these warnings now and then and ignore them. I use Ad-Aware from Lavasoft and Spybot (both free shareware) to scan for spyware, plus F-Prot (free shareware) to scan for a virus or worm. I run these softwares at least weekly but also have my main drive "cloned" to a 2nd hard drive. And, I work behind a router which provides a firewall.

So far nothing has invaded my machine and if it did I could reformat and restore my main drive by using the 2nd "clone" and do so in about 5 minutes.

Be prepared and be smart and then you will not panic when these crappy people send pop ups that are only a bogus warning.

Good luck.
