Of course, I've reached the point in life where I don't want to see me naked, either. <g>Do you think your phone calls should be monitored without a warrant, for example? OK, let's use that example. Do I think my calls should be monitored? Of course not. That would be a ghastly waste of government resources. And it probably wouldn't do much for the mental health of those poor drones stuck listening. My heart goes out to them. I'm thinking about the half dozen calls I recently made to Comcast trying to sort out the impact of inserting a digital cable box into my snarl of TV, DRV, and VCRs. But do I care if someone hears what I'm saying? Not really. Those calls may even have been recorded on the Comcast end. I don't know and I don't care.I don't trust the people there I can't say that I do either. But I recognize that they have better things to do than to poke around in my life and I don't worry much about the occasional nut who might somehow become obsessed with my business. search warrants for my personal financial records, medical records Those are two more good examples. The government already knows my finances. I send them info every year. It's called a tax return. As for my medical records, where's the big secret? I'm sure I've discussed every ailment I have somewhere on these boards at one time or another. What's the big secret? Now if the government expected me to do any work to supply them with this information, I'd definitely dig in over that. But if they can snoop without inconveniencing me, I can't get exercised over it.
