No let's wait for the bombers to strike so we can wring our hands about how the govt failed to protect us. Same folks who are against dealing with restrictions of liberty during wartime are the same folks who excoriated the pre-9/11, pre-Patriot act government for not doing enough. Please be consistent. This is hypocrisy imho. mike

I'll answer it anyway. <g>

I don't fear bombers any more than I fear brownshirts. I have put considerable time and energy elsewhere on SI asking those who have embraced fear of terrorism the same questions. I don't approve of fear mongering from either side. I think it's reasonable to inquire as to whether fear is reasonable and rational.
