I certainly would not disagree with your assesment of ALAN.

Just as a note from the Sept. release discussing the Asian plans.

In Japan, Alanco will partner with AeroScout Japan, jointly owned by San Mateo-based AeroScout, Inc., and local interests, to exclusively represent TSI PRISM in Japan. The initial project for Alanco/AeroScout Japan will be a November, 2005 tender for the new 2,000 inmate Shiname Prison in central Japan.

Shiname is the new prision project that we discovered some time ago..to my understanding this is on track with AreoScout Japan as the lead. AreoScout Japan is well connected with NTT and two other Japanese companies that are doing the actual construct on the new prison. The project is not to be finished until 2007 however.

In Australia, the ACT (Australian Capital Territory) Department of Corrections is considering a TSI PRISM installation for a 375 bed multi-level prison opening in Canberra in late 2006. An ACT DOC technology evaluation team is scheduled to tour TSI PRISM installations in Illinois and Michigan on November 7 – 9, 2005. NEC Australia is also involved in this project as the prospective local systems integrator

The Nov. tour was held with favorable comment from the ACT and NEC people. This one is small (375 beds), but the company is confident of the inroads it will develop.

In Malaysia, AMG Infotech, Ltd. and Alanco are teaming to pursue two prison projects, a 700 inmate prison at Banda Hilir Melaka in Malaysia, and the 500 inmate Brunie facility in Borneo. AMG also represented TSI PRISM technology at the annual Security Conference in Malaysia September 10 – 25, 2005.

The 700 bed project is the one just announced the second 500 inmate project is coming once the final numbers are agreed to on the 700 bed project.

There are several of these companies that want to license and sell the TSI system, but are trying to get the system for license for a little as possible. ALAN does not want to just give the tech. away. The number crunchers on both sides are in the process of agreeing on what both sides feel is a fair price.

Meanwhile in the US....The Logan project continues to expand in small amounts (representing most of last years 800k) Colorado has made their intial payments toward their 750k project.

The Rand Corp. is continuing with their study of the Logan and Calif. installs, but time does not seem to be a concern for them to release the results. This has been a disappointment, but time will bring the result we are looking for.....LA County funding! On the LA County phase. They expect the Rand study to be the pivot point for L.A. to seek full funding from the federal gov't under the 60mm Rape Prevention Act of 2004...that is worth 1000 dollars per inmate with roughly 15k inmates at any one time. This is the big kahuna that I'm looking for!!! These other smaller ones are nice and may produce larger contracts, but LA is the golden egg IMO.
