How safe do you want to be and what are you willing to pay for it.

Hmm seems like we are right back to where we started this morning! When all is said and done that will be the question.
It may be that the vote yesterday, and the screams heard this morning about the NSA story have no basis in fact for such a reaction, but I am always more about taking care before jumping one way or another than leaping and then thinking, oh shit. I can't tell though if you are saying that this is one stone you don't care abour turning, and that there are many you wouldn't turn. We may just have different stones whose undersides bother us.

I just heard someone interviewed on Tony Snow (didn't catch name, some Dem analyst) who sounded reasonable to me. He said if nothing more has been done than tracing terrorist links to out of the country connections, Bush can get by with this- it is legal-- but if one US citizen to US citizen call is found, he will be in deep trouble, because that will violate the law. I'm not sure how they are going to get all this information. There will be outrage on one side and stonewalling on the other, and we've seen it all before.
