Emile > The Moral Responsibility of the U.S. Military Officer in the Context of the Larger War We Are In -- Robert Hickson

Very interesting and very difficult for me to comment on, particularly as I know nothing about the US military. But clearly, Hickson is a very intelligent person with considerable insight into the quasi-revolution which has taken place at the highest levels of the US military. But it seems his insights fall short because he leaves the reader hanging with this statement:

>>a sign of real power is who effectively controls (or is intimidating about) what is permitted to be discussed and critiqued in open public discourse, and what must not be spoken.<<

Yes, he indicates that that power flows from the neocons but he begs the question, "Where did the neocons get their power?" And indeed, if that power flows from the Jewish community of the US, as seems to be implied from the mention of various anti anti-Semitic remarks in the text, I ask how does 3% of the American population come to wield that kind of power? Where is the 97% of the population? Or were they all asleep as this tiny minority took over control of the nation?

And, indeed, are they still asleep?
